While there is not much daily betting action taking place at New Jersey sportsbooks right now, there are NFL future bets aplenty. Online bookmakers are offering odds on the winners of the Super Bowl, conference, and divisions as well as the top prospects in the NFL draft, which will take place from April 23-25.
While a lot of the draft talk has been about the quarterbacks, it may be the deepest-ever year for wide receivers. Many experts have seven at that position taken in the first round. One of the top receivers is CeeDee Lamb, and DraftKings New Jersey is offering boosted odds of +180 on the Oklahoma product to be the first receiver off the board.
New Jersey sportsbooks also have quite a few markets for the teams nearest the Garden State in the Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets, and New York Giants. For instance, FanDuel NJ has futures odds on which player the Eagles will take with the 21st pick in the first round:
Justin Jefferson +170
Henry Ruggs III +500
Denzel Mims +500
Jerry Juedy +800
CeeDee Lamb +800
Jalen Reagor +850
Tee Higgins +1400
Xavier McKinney +1600
Grant Delpit +1700
Patrick Queen +1700
DraftaKings has a couple of head-to-head futures on which player from the same position will be taken first:
Running back: D’Andre Swift -167 / Jonathan Taylor +150
Wide receiver: Jerry Juedy -110 / CeeDee Lamb +150
Offensive lineman: Mekhi Becton +175 / Tristan Watts +175
DraftKings also has odds on whether these players will be taken in the first 10 picks:
Mekhi Becton -500
Tristan Wirfs -400
Jedrick Wills -335
Derrick Brown -200
Andrew Thomas +110
Jordan Love +200
Jerry Jeudy, Javon Kinlaw +250
CeeDee Lamb, Henry Ruggs III +300
Unless there is a huge shocker, the Cincinnati Bengals will take Heisman-winning quarterback Joe Burrow with the no.1 pick. Tua Tagovailoa from Alabama has a lot of buzz and will be taken early, but there is no certainty about where he will end up. Here are the futures odds at FanDuel for which team will take Tagovailoa:
Chargers +195
Redskins +340
Raiders +1500
Lions +1600
Panthers +1900
FanDuel even as a futures bet for Mr. Irrelevant, who is the last player taken in the draft:
Offensive player -125
Defensive player -105
Special teams +1100
The sports world is on hold because of the coronavirus issue, but there are still many NFL betting opportunities to take advantage of at New Jersey’s online sportsbooks.
