The Golden Nugget Online Casino has partnered up with Evolution Gaming, one of the world leaders in live dealer casino games. The deal will see GoldenNuggetCasino.com offer a range of unique Evolution products, including Top Card, Side Bet City, and Dream Catcher.
The partnership was announced in a press release earlier this week. While the terms of the agreement have been finalized, neither party has confirmed when the new live dealer games will be made available to Golden Nugget members.
Golden Nugget has long paved the way when it comes to live casino gaming in New Jersey, as it was the first operator to launch a live gaming studio in Atlantic City. That studio is powered by Ezugi, which was bought by Evolution Gaming in 2019.
The Evolution Gaming titles will be streamed in real-time from the Golden Nugget live gaming studio. That space is shared with several other New Jersey online casinos, including Betfair, FanDuel, BetMGM, Borgata, Caesars, and BetAmerica.
“Our online players and those of our partners are very well served with our existing online Live Casino offering in terms of classic casino table games,” said Thomas Winter, senior vice-president at Golden Nugget.
“The agreement with Evolution will give our players and those of our operating partners access to more unique show-style games and other unique titles, enriching their live gaming experience. The new generation of Evolution Live Casino games will also help us serve a broader player demographics, including sports bettors. This we believe, will allow us collectively to further increase the share of online casino revenue attributed to Live games.”
While Golden Nugget looks to bolster its position at the head of the NJ online casino market, Evolution Gaming is hoping this latest move will help the European company gain a stronger foothold in the United States.
“This deal further consolidates our position in New Jersey while providing an additional strategic platform from which to introduce additional new games to the US, including titles that have already been very successful in the Live Casino space in Europe,” said Sebastian Johnnisson, chief commercial officer at Evolution.
Golden Nugget is the undisputed leader of the online casino industry in New Jersey. Besides GoldenNuggetCasino.com, the company also operates the Betfair, BetAmerica, and SugarHouse online casinos.
In April, Golden Nugget Online Casino set a New Jersey record with $27.6 million in monthly revenue. That figure accounts for more than a third of total online casino revenue for the month, which came in at just under $80 million.
Golden Nugget’s decision to focus the bulk of its resources on digital gambling has paid off big in the past few months. With New Jersey’s land-based casinos all closed since March due to the COVID-19 outbreak, online gaming is now at the height of its popularity.
