New Jersey sportsbooks release odds for rescheduled US Masters

The Masters Tournament, widely regarded as the most glamorous of all of the majors in golf, was originally supposed to take place from April 9-12. However, it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and now will take place in November. It is the first time since World War II that the Masters has been either cancelled or delayed.

Three of the four men’s majors will go ahead this year, as will the Ryder Cup, while the British Open has been cancelled altogether. Here is the updated schedule:

• PGA Championship: August 6-9
• US Open: September 17-20
• Ryder Cup: September 25-27
• The Masters: November 12-15

The FanDuel and Fox Bet sportsbooks have posted odds for the 2020 Masters in November. Tiger Woods, the defending champion, shares the third line of outright betting with Brooks Koepka at both bookies. Rory McIlroy is the outright favorite to claim the green jacket this year, although the Irishman has never finished better than tied-fourth at Augusta National and has not won a major trophy since 2015.

In last year’s tournament, there was a three-way tie for second place with Koepka, Dustin Johnson and Xander Schauffele finishing one stroke back of Woods. All three players are in the top 10 in the 2020 Masters outright betting at New Jersey sportsbooks.
