For the third straight year the Governor of New Jersey Phil Murphy will be in Atlantic City for the 24th annual East Coast Gaming Congress & NexGen Gaming Forum. He will share his thoughts on New Jerswy sports betting and other gaming issues that are important to the New Jersey gaming industry.
Murphy will be giving the “State of Gaming” keynote address on April 28th 2020, at the East Coast Gaming Congress & NexGen Gaming Forum, which is the biggest, as well as the longest running, gaming conference in the Eastern part of the United States. The annual event is to be held April 27th and 28th at the Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City. The former CEO of the American Gaming Association called the forum “the best conference the industry has.”
Since 1997 the former and current Governors of New Jersey have spoken at the forum to give their thoughts about the gaming industry in the Garden State. The tradition began when former Governor Brendan Byrne addressed the forum in 1997. Bill Miller, who is the CEO and President of the American Gaming Association, will be giving the keynote address on April 28th on the State of Gaming. After that there will be other speakers from CEO’s that represent eight of the leading gaming operators in New Jersey.
A variety of issues will be discussed from both the public and private sector. Some of the hot topics that will be talked about deal with mobile sports wagering, competition in the gaming industry from neighboring states, the future of the state lottery, and the future of esports betting. There will be panel discussions at the forum at Harrah’s Atlantic City featuring gaming supplier leaders, operators of sports wagering, officials from the lottery, and gaming regulators.
There will be in excess of 500 gaming operators, manufacturers of gaming equipment, gaming regulators, lawyers, architects, gaming analysts, public officials, and other professionals in the gaming industry that are expected to be at the East Coast Gaming Congress & NexGen Gaming Forum.
