Fox Bet rolls out PokerStars online casino games

There was much anticipation when Fox Bet launched their New Jersey sportsbook in September and in October they also added casino action in their brand. The PokerStars Casino is now in the Fox Bet fold and through the Fox Bet mobile app players can now access both online sports betting and real money casino games.

Fox Bet has followed other popular sportsbooks in New Jersey, such as Fan Duel and Draft Kings, to allow players to bet on sports as well as casino games through their New Jersey sportsbook application. Fox Bet has been in operation for over a month now and there has been solid growth with the new venture.

The ability for Fox Bet players to now play casino games on their NJ application comes from the Fox Sports and The Stars Group partnership. They came together in order to create a new sportsbook online that allows players to play casino games as well as many sports wagering options. The goal of both of the gaming companies is to promote their product for markets in the United States, as well as overseas, where sports and casino gaming is legal. While Flutter Entertainment recently acquired The Stars Group it will not change anything when it comes to the casino games offered through the Fox Bet sportsbook app.

The partnership between The Stars Group and Fox Bet came together with the primary goal of offering sports betting but wanted to expand offering online casino gambling. This is not a surprising move considering in the state of New Jersey the revenue that comes from online gambling is in excess of the $250 million in revenue from sports betting in the Garden State.

For the new product the PokerStars Casino unveiled 150 online slot games as well as their table games offered. Now that PokerStars is in the sports betting business they are the only brand in New Jersey where players can take advantage of the three types of legal online gambling in poker, casino games, and sports betting. The move is one that can help the PokerStars brand, as while online casino gambling and sports wagering is flourishing in New Jersey online poker has not enjoyed the same success, as that industry has been struggling.

The United States, and New Jersey to begin with, are following the blueprint used in the United Kingdom, as for a long time they have used sports betting and casino betting together to lure new players to their brands. Now in the USA with the Fox Bet and PokerStars Casino marriage they are trying to get players to take advantage of their full online gambling portfolio.

FanDuel was one of the first to integrate their gaming options. About the time when the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA) was struck down in US federal court in 2018 their brand was acquired by Paddy Power Betfair. Then, when Fan Duel launched their sportsbook in New Jersey they had a version of the popular Betfair Casino available as well to allow their players to wager on online casino games.

As of 2019 New Jersey is one of three states that allow for legal online casino wagering. However, that number will surely grow with states realizing the revenue that can come from online casino gambling just like sports wagering. The more and more states that have established mobile sports wagering legislation the more of them will begin to offer online casino gambling.
